I started my tenure at WHS in eighth grade, after attending School 3 for eight years. I spent four wonderful years at the high school level, enjoying those years meeting friends that would last a lifetime. Athletics and academics went hand in hand. I played three sports all four years, with the exception of my senior year when Prof Jones, the basketball coach, told me I could either play varsity basketball or be the Student Council President. I opted for the latter and never regretted it. I still don't understand his rationale but back then who questioned authority. After five years of education at Albany College of Pharmacy I decided to go back to WHS, my home, and teach Health Education and act as District Health Coordinator for 35 years. The latter years were spent writing grants for the district, developing courses in video, health and the media, and working with the Watervliet Housing Authority to develop and implement the City's own television station through Time Warner Cable.

RIP Tim. I vividly recall you and I playing many a futbal game for Prof Hill.  You were an excellent halfback, with very few players able to get past your stellar defense.
